Since I’ve started this new business, people are always asking me if I’m an artist. While I might never have labeled myself as an “artist” before, I can honestly reply that “I am one now!”
I believe we all have an inner artist that’s just begging to be explored or re-discovered. Even though I worked as a graphic designer for most of my adult life (over 25 years) I did not feel comfortable calling myself an artist, at least not a “real” one.
An important life lesson to remember is that WE are the ones who put labels onto ourselves, WE define our own limits and possibilities.
The vision for this business came to me after visiting my sister and daughter in Denver, CO a few years ago, and attending a session at a local paint and sip studio. The experience literally changed my life. Realizing there were no paint and sip art studios in PA at the time, I decided to open up my very own Independent Paint Studio. After many long months of sleepless nights mixed with unbridled anticipation, as well as tremendous support from my family and friends, The Uncorked Artist, LLC was born.
My goal with The Uncorked Artist is to introduce this extraordinary experience to everyone in the Bucks – Montgomery County area.
I invite everyone who enters The Uncorked Artist to make themselves entirely at home, imbue the ambiance of the studio, and utilize all of our art supplies. Guests are encouraged to relax, explore their inner artist, and expand the perception they have about their creative ability.
Once you put on your smock and pick up your paint brush, you are OFFICIALLY an artist—at least for the duration of the paint session. Enjoy!
